Rory Donovan-Stumbles
Chief Financial Officer
Rory brings a measured, commercially astute approach to WHITEFOX, shaped by extensive experience across accounting, private equity, property investment, and business advisory.
As Chief Financial Officer, he oversees the financial strategy and performance of the wider group across every region. In New Zealand, he is also a director and co-owner of WHITEFOX, playing a key role in the growth, structure, and long term direction of the business.
Originally from New Zealand and a graduate of the University of Otago, Rory built his career across accounting, advisory, and investment, developing a strong foundation in business performance, financial management, and commercial strategy. He completed his Chartered Accounting qualification with BDO Auckland before relocating to the United Kingdom, where he joined global private equity firm Apax Partners. There, he gained exposure to large scale investment management, fund operations, investor reporting, governance, and strategic decision making within a highly sophisticated international investment environment.
What sets Rory apart is his ability to combine financial discipline with broader commercial insight. As an active property investor across both residential and commercial assets, and founder and director of DPM Group, a residential property management business operating throughout Otago, he contributes far beyond traditional finance. His firsthand experience as a business owner, investor, and operator helps shape strategy, guide expansion opportunities, and support the long term evolution of the business.
Rory's calm, pragmatic leadership style and long term perspective have made him an integral part of WHITEFOX's growth across Australia and New Zealand. Deeply involved in the evolution of the business, he plays an active role in driving expansion, strengthening operations, and helping lead the next phase of growth across the wider group.
After several years living in Melbourne, Rory has returned to New Zealand with his wife and young son. While based in New Zealand, he remains closely connected to the wider WHITEFOX team, bringing the same commercial expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership that have defined his career from the beginning.
